A Holy Bath

Category: Spontaneous Moments

I captured this image of a child bathing himself in the holy water of the Ganges river whilst I was walking around the main ghat. I was moved by the sense of incredible importance that this river has to the people that utilize it every day. Its usage ranges from practical to symbolic but the significance of the Ganges stays the same. This boy shows the connection that each and every person has to the river that represents life itself.
