Just passing through this rural area on an empty state highway, I saw this scene go by at 50 miles an hour. It took a few minutes to slow down, turn around, and go back for the shot- but, the horse and donkey were still standing there, staring at one another across an open field, tails swishing. Peaceful territorial dispute, or animal Zen?
