Sunset over Bow Valley as seen from an altitude of 7,500 ft, at Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray Station atop Sulphur Mountain, Canadian Rocky Mountains, in Banff National Park. The site was built to study cosmic rays and commemorates Canada's participation in the International Geophysical Year, during 1957 to 1958. This site was the most important due to its higher elevation. The altitude and the setting sun's rays provided an almost uneartly quality to the scene.
Location: Sulphur Mountain, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada
