It had rained all morning, turning the dusty earth to mud. Sunday service was finishing up and everyone from the Turkana village of Attir emerged from the mud hut church as the skies began to calm and the sun relieved the clouds. A little girl took her time to meander along the stream that had blessed the dry savannah that day.
