Me and You, Kid.

Had pulled off the interstate between Nashville and Memphis for something to eat, and saw a 1940's style bus station that compelled me to stop and get out my camera. Inside, in an otherwise empty waiting room where pay phones had been removed from the walls as the only concession to modernity, a father and his daughter were patiently waiting to transfer to the third connecting leg of a bus trip from Mobile, Alabama to Iowa. With more than 20 hours travel still ahead- no wonder they both look a little "freaked out"...

Location: Greyhound Bus Station, Jackson, TN
