All that glitters...

Category: Travel Portraits

Skagway is well known for the Gold Rush of the late 1800's. The Gold Rush is over, but Skagway still has a lot of gold hidden. The picture shows the moment me and my friend spotted gold flakes on the way to Upper Dewey Lake, a 5 hour hike. Apparently, during the summer the melting snow brings down the gold on its flowing waters.

Location: Upper Dewey Lake, Skagway, Alaska
