- Custodians fling yellow colored water made from saffron onto Bodhnath Stupa in Nepal. The yellow arc represents the double lotus. Bodhnath Stupa, located in the Kathmandu Valley, lies on the ancient trade route from Tibet and attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists daily.

- Lake Balaton is the most popular place for Hungarians if they would like to travel on a domestic holiday. During winter the whole area is empty, you can meet hardly nobody. If the winter is cold enough the the whole lake freezes over and you can walk from the southern shore to the northern that is 5 km long. This picture shows an interesting contrast where both the winter and summer seasons can be seen.

- While birding in Sierra de Bahoruco, near the Dominican-Haitian border, I drove passed the 2,000mt of altitude into this foggy burnt forest. The atmosphere was magical and sad at the same time.

- While strolling down the Malecon in Havana, Cuba, I came across this couple. They were laughing and drinking and getting soaked by an occasional wave that broke over the sea wall. They were oblivious to the rest of the world while they enjoyed each other immensely.

- The World Trade Center Memorial in New York City seemed vast and somewhat sterile until I focused on just a part of the waterfall and was overwhelmed with the feeling of all those fleeting souls coursing down into the abyss.
