- I sat down a stump for rest after stroll in Nara Park, and watching deer. They were eating fallen cherry blossom petals in peacefully. Suddenly strong wind blew out and cherry blossom petals were started to fall on the deer. It is like a shower of falling cherry blossom petals. It is called "Hana Fubuki" in Japanese, literally means flower snowstorm.

- Oregon will always be a special place for me having grown up there. It taught me many things including how to respect nature and especially wildlife. So for me to be able to capture this clam in its natural habitat seemingly evading capture, was a moment that put a smile on my face.Little did I know that even Clams have a personality and know how to smile for the camera.

- To me, this image defines spontaneous. Spontaneous in that it was taken at about 1:30am after my 7 month old son decided he wanted to wake up and play with some toys. Spontaneous in that I decided at 1:30 in the morning to test my ability to trigger an off camera flash with the Nikon point and shoot I took this picture with. And spontaneous in that our dog Molly decided to walk in front of the camera and yawn the moment I took this shot. I love this picture. Our dog is being lit by the small flash on the point and shoot, my son is being lit by a hot shoe flash set to slave mode.

- Once I decided to take some photos, which would reflect the day-life of children, living in, simply saying, bad conditions in children's' homes. So, in one of such homes, near the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, when I was talking to the director of the home, this little sweethearts came out and starting to examine the situation. The boy stared at me for a second and suddenly ran away to hug her mother, sitting near. Meanwhile, boy's little sister, wondering what was happening outside, half-standing on her knees, was curiously involved in something that only she could understand that moment..
