Sometimes called a 'mesa', a 'butte' is a steep rock formation that is taller than it's flat top, while a 'mesa' has a flat top wider than it is tall. Formed from the eroding of softer surrounding materials, these formations speckle the northern Arizona landscape. Hoya polarizing filter used dialed at approx 80%-90% max
