A Return to the Familiar

All too often has the New York Skyline, a mosaic of modern and classic architecture, been the main subject of photos, films, paintings and postcards. This picture may not seem extraordinary, but it is one of the first taken from the top of the new world trade center Freedom Tower. The intentional and symbolic height of 1776 feet tall allows for perfect views of the Empire State building and its surroundings. Also, it didnt hurt that this picture was taken before any windows were installed. It has been a long time since the island was viewed this way. It is like welcoming back an old friend.
Location: World Trade Center (Freedom Tower), New York City
