Bridge walk

Category: Spontaneous Moments

Photo and caption by Mario Porchetta

I was on the back seat of a taxi, it was almost sunset. I had taken other shots just before that moment setting the shutter at 1/40 sec. to capture non moving objects. I knew the woman walking on the bridge was going to be blurred, yet I thought it could have created an interesting effect. It turned out to be a kind of impressionist painting. Because she was wearing a yellow Saree, the subject became a surrealistic figure. It could have been a monk or a Sadhu. The building on the river behind her helped the composition. Right place at the right time!

Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
