Ventisquero Negro

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Carlos Renato Botan de Souza

Ventisquero Negro is an unique glacier at the base of the Tronador Vulcan. The brown/green color of the glacier is due to sediment picked up in the glacier's accumulation zone. I was lucky enough to witness this view under a heavy fog, creating a rather dramatic picture.

Location: San Carlos de Bariloche - Rio Negro - Argentina
