Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Björn Bergman

Eight lane 160km road with roadworkers, between Pyongyang and the DMZ/Panmunjom southkorean border. Built by 5000 students in the 90's. The "road" is in a terrible condition and aimed for troup transports to the north/south korean boarder. The asphalt layer is just about 10cm thick and very much affected and damaged by ground frost

Location: North Korea between Pyongyang and Panmunjom DMZ
