Photo and caption by Andrew Lockie

Situated on the desolate Rannoch Moor in the Highlands Scotland, with the Black Mount mountain range in the distance. The boggy moorland is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), as well as a conservation area. The image was taken after a cold April night, which had seen the lochan freeze over in places.
