Maria, unaged Mamacita Peruana

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Seb Cau

On the road between Cabanaconde and San Juan de Chucco, Peru, crossing the Colca Canyon, more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the United States, i met Maria, walking under a crazy sun as if it was fresh spring... Speaking with her i feeled to meet ancestral local Quechua tribe, her stunning clothes, her wisdom eyes, etc... I was really impressed by this "Mamacita". She gave me her secret to stay fresh : "ahhh, put fresh leafs under your hat..." (we can see some on the photo). This foto was done when i asked her age, she answered me laughing that she didn't count years anymore...

Location: Cañon del Colca, Peru
