Octopi are some of the ocean's most endearing organisms. They are the most intelligent invertebrate on earth with complex eyes quite like our own, yet their lack of a skeletal structure and eight arms juxtaposes any initial similarities to people. Here an octopus investigates my camera just under the surf zone. Seconds later, he disappeared into the coral substrate with a quick change in color.
