Favela Kids

Category: Travel Portraits

I was walking around in the Rocinha favela (slum) in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, when I began to hear kids playing in the distance. I followed the noise until I reached this big wall with a hole at the bottom. I peeked inside and saw the feet of several children running around in what appeared to be a nursery. Then, all of a sudden, a handful of kids spontaneously decided to look through the hole at the same moment. The rest is history.

Location: Rocinha, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
