Sunset in Kata Tjuta

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Judith Segal

This sunset was electrifying. I have never experienced one like it. We sat waiting patiently for something to happen. All of a sudden the scene lit up in front of us as if someone had turned on a light. After a few minutes the light was extinguished. Everything touched by the setting sun turned gold.

Location: Kata Tjuta, Central Australia
