The Black Wall

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Isabella Angel

A glimpse back to a time in history that we now, too often, turn our heads from in shame. Auschwitz I “Wall of Death” is located between cellblocks 10 and 11. Against this wall, SS guards executed thousands of innocent men, women and children. 120mm film, double exposure.

Location: Auschwitz, Poland
