As I walked along the streets of Dhaka, I saw a library bus parked on the side of Mirpur Rd. This was an image in stark contrast to the daylight scene, where at that same location many homeless lived in makeshift shelters and ate what little they could beg. I stood watching the bus long before the image was taken. Maybe too long, as a man came and thanked me for taking the picture - In a place like Dhaka it's easy to only focus on the poverty and pollution. This image to me is a quiet symbol of an impoverished country trying to move forward.
