Praying in Peace

Category: Sense of Place

Myanmar (or Burma) has too long been forgotten, but with the opening up and easing of restrictions in this country, I fear that there will be a burgeoning of the tourist market into the former reclusive country. I travelled from Yangon up north to the ancient city of Bagan. There I began experiencing what many have touted as the city of a thousands pagodas. A visit to these 'living' pagodas is a must, but it can be a rather overwhelming experience. This is a shot at the Manuha Temple and to give one a sense of place, there is hardly enough walking space between the walls and the Buddha statue.

Location: Manuha Temple, Bagan, Myanmar (or Burma)
