Undaunted by the tension spread across the region, a farmer carrying paddy for planting, in Srirampur, Kokrajhar, Assam, India. The region was hit by one of its worst ethnic riots in August –September, 2012 causing the death of 77 people and leaving nearly 400,000 people homeless. This farmer, drenched in sweat walking barefoot unmindful of the unease and the disturbances in the refugee camps pitched at both sides of the road, struck to me as the image of the resilience of the villagers and the hopes they carry
