Honey Bee Covered in Pollen Inside a Flower

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Cathi Robbins

As I watched the honey bees in my back yard I followed this one right into the heart of this flower to gather the pollen. If you look closely, you can see his is covered in pollen. The base of the flower is white and it gives the appearance of being illuminated. I did not have a macro lens, I just got lucky while shooting photos of my yard in bloom.

Location: Westlake Village, CA
