Pantanal horse rider

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Karina Sechi Serboff

In the brazilian Pantanal, heritage by generations is gradually lost. Brazilian cowboys traditions are threatened with extinction. They travel hundreds of miles with cattle for sale, sleeping rough. The work is the same for centuries. No phones, no internet, far from anywhere. Young people go to the cities. Fewer and fewer traditional workers and the trend is professionalization of the trade.

Location: In "Pouso Alto" farm, Mato Grosso, Brazil
