Dockyard painter

Category: Spontaneous Moments

Photo and caption by Adam Constantine

A young man hangs from a makeshift scaffold to re-paint the side of a rusting ship in a dockyard in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The workers here are characterised by the absence of health and safety equipment. The young man doesn't even have a brush or roller with which to apply the paint, he must use his bare-hands and a rag.

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh (Buriganga River)
