On one of the last days while my family and I were on the island, the night happened to be very clear and I decided to try some long exposure shots. We got to Ahu Tongariki at about 10pm. When we stepped out of the car, my sister became very paranoid, and even screamed when a nearby lighthouse/tower lit up. I even got a bit paranoid in the dark with the hundreds year old moai, but everything turned out fine. The photo was a single 30 minute exposure. There was a bit too much sensor noise though. Next time I'll try to take a series of 30 second exposure and stack them.
