Reflections on a Winter Day
Category: Sense of Place
Photo and caption by Vicki Santello
This was a cold gray day in Northern Georgia. Fall foliage was gone and most of the trees were drab except this blazing red tree. I was struck by the juxtaposition of the red leaves next to the green bridge as if to welcome the Christmas season with the traditional green and red colors. The shape of the bridge reflection in the water gave extra meaning to me as if to symbolize a circle and the cycle of seasons.
