An Industrial Sunrise

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Karl Herschede

Most landscape photos are idyllic pastures, rows of neatly plotted corn, an old wind mill in the distance...all of these are beautiful. But so is a sun rise captured while biking through an industrial ship harbor. This photo captures the industrial muscle the sun gives us each and everyday. Industriousness built us, humans, and America alike. Seeing the sun rise every morning while biking is better than waking up next to last night's lover. Last night was last night, but sunrise presents a whole new day. Whatever will happen today nobody knows beyond sunrise, so I enjoy it while I can.

Location: Milwaukee, WI - Biking over a bridge near the Port of Milwaukee
