"Stilt fisherman" is a traditional way of fishing in southern Sri Lanka. Fishermen who can not afford to buy a boat, put big sticks in coral reef to protect themselves from the waves and in same time they do not disturb fish gathering around reef which increase chances for catching one.

Location: Mirissa, Sri Lanka
