I took this photo whilst on assignment at a child welfare centre in Ifikara, Tanzania. The locals in the villages leave their children unnatended at home when they go to the fields to work at harvest time, often for weeks. The local communities work to build welfare centres where volunteers can look after the children whilst the parents work. She had the most amazing dress and wanted to show it to me, but was shy to be in front of the camera. She came out and we had great fun showing her on the LCD what she looked like in her dress, but this was my favourite photo from the day.
