Breakfast for the Kings of Africa

We awoke at 530 am to go for a safari drive from Richards Camp located in the northern part of the Mara. About 500 yards from the entrance to our camp which was not protected by a fence, we came across approximately 20 lions who had just taken down 3 fully grown wildebeests. The steam was still rising off the bodies of the wildebeest when we arrived and we approached slowly and proceeded to watch the lions have breakfast for the next 2 hours. At the end of the day as we were returning we came across the same pride sleeping nearby under some trees - Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Location: Masai Mara, Kenya
