jane's carousel scouts the cranes

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Adriano Neves

This photograph was taken last October while travelling with friends. Though this is one of the most recognizable cityscapes on the planet, there were several small elements in place that made me like this particular shot of the lit Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge over the sunset horizon - either the lovely restored from rust vintage Jane's Carousel, the US flag flying in the wind on top of the bridge pillars or the near completion One World Trade Center building with its construction cranes reaching out the sky. The city that never sleeps is truly constantly moving.

Location: New York City, United States of America
