Atacama Desert Ghost Town

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by gerhard Huedepohl

When I traveled along the coast of the Atacama Desert in Chile I came across this abandoned part of a small village. I started to explore a bit more until I got this nice shot that shows the interior of a partially collapsed house with the view to the courtyard with a palm tree, still alive. The sense of the place was very spooky.

Location: Paposo, Chile
