Cruising down the Zambezi River in Africa

Category: Sense of Place

We were lucky enough to spend a month in Zimbabwe touring around the country. Most memorable time? Cruising down the Zambezi River on a three day trip with our English guide and four South African students. Every day promptly at 5:00pm, we pulled over for tea on the bank of the river. First night? We all slept lose together and listened to the lions roar down the river...second night, spread out when one guy snored so loud! Took this shot which could have been taken hundreds of years ago ... two men fishing in their handmade canoe. A real place out of time...something we will never forget!

Location: On the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe, Africa
