While touring the city of Luang Prabang by bicycle, I stopped at a Buddhist monastery to explore its grounds. I snapped a few uninspired pictures inside the main structure and then retired to the floor in the back of the room to rest and absorb the peaceful atmosphere. A few minutes later, two young monks entered, sat in the front of the room, and studied their religious texts. The monk dressed in bright orange seemed especially intrigued by my presence, and I was lucky enough to capture his fleeting glance before he hurriedly returned to his studies.
