Love in Paris

Category: Sense of Place

My husband and I took a year off this year to travel the world with our two boys. We had been on the road for two months and arrived in Paris in September for a quick visit. While walking along the Seine, I turned around to find my husband holding this lock up against his chest. He had purchased the "Lover's Lock" from a vender while I was busy pointing out sites to the boys. It meant so much to me that I kept the lock in my backpack for 6 months. We returned to Paris in February, locked it onto the Pont des Art, and threw the keys into the river.
