Descent

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Mark Watson

Mitre Peak is one of New Zealand's most photographed and iconic mountains. I took this unique perspective after a bivouac on the summit with two friends. The shot was taken in the morning after we made an early start for the 5000 foot descent back Milford Sound.

Location: Mitre Peak, Fiordland National Park, New Zealand
