The fishing village of Xingping

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Xingping is an old fishing village situated between the cities of Yangshuo and Guillin in China. For decades the main source of income has been fishing, particularly the traditional cormorant style of fishing where the fishermen use well trained cormorants to capture the fish. The village is starting to lose these traditions as tourism increases in the area, mostly caused by the landscape which surrounds it; breathtakingly beautiful in its scenery, it´s no wonder it attracts tourists in the millions.

Location: Xingping, Guangxi, China
