A shining heart in the rocks

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Swathi Kiran

In the middle of the Arizona desert, there is emotion enveloped in time. At the antelope slot canyon, the sunlight streams into the canyon from above, allowing a variety of interpretative shapes and shadows. As you walk through this part of the canyon, you can identify a heart (or a horse, depending on your viewpoint) that is even anatomically accurate with the septum and chambers. Taken June 2013
