After a hard day's work

Category: Sense of Place

In Dubai, a city that smells of money and everything beautiful, these handcarts parked in the courtyard of a traditional cloth market or souq, symbolized all those old things we find hard to let go of no matter how tall our buildings stand or how fast our cars are. I took this shot one evening in 2011 when I was new to the city and was strolling along the streets of Bur Dubai or the old city. It never fails to remind me that it is the sweat and hard work of human beings that has built everything admirable in this world.
