Portrait of an Undertaker

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Marc Russo

The Marabou Stork is a common site in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is often referred to as the undertaker bird, because of the black wings that resemble a cloak and the white tufts of hair that make it look as if it were an old gentleman.

Location: Moholoholo, South Africa
