Reflections in an Indian tribal clay birdbath. Here, the photograph is taken in the the Western Ghats, an area with a stark distinction in weather from the surrounding Indian plains. This and its history allowed for the introduction of plants once alien to the country. I hope this picture tries to depict this with the images of olive, willow and even pine, plants not only quintessential to completely different places but also to climates, all found in this modest bird bath, that still holds on to the traditions of the region. Here, the light gives the scene another dimension and space.
