A locust plague is devastating Madagascar, with billions of locusts destroying crops and threatening the rainforests. The people of Madagascar depend on rice crops for sustenance, and the impact that these locusts will have on the fields are catastrophic. Immediate action needs to take place to reduce the locusts which are now widespread throughout the country, before the damage destroys the little remaining rainforests, and before the people begin to reach starvation.
