Zimbabwe Smile

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Ed Hetherington

If someone asked me "What are Zimbabweans like?" I would show them this image. Everywhere we went we were greeted with the most welcoming smiles you can imagine. We visited a small village near Hwange and were fortunate enough to spend some time in a family's home for a snack and some tea. The absolute best parts of any trip are moments like this when you can sit down and get to know people. We had some good laughs when we had a discussion about the differences in the labor and delivery process in the United States and rural Zimbabwe
