A storm chasing tour group quickly poses in front of a wedge shaped tornado near Bennington, Kansas. Such groups have recently been the subject of controversy after the deaths of three storm chasers who were conducting research on tornadoes in close environments. Storm chasing tour groups however argue they stay at safe distances from tornadoes. Thousands of people from around the world come to the Great Plains of the United States, known as "Tornado Alley" during May and June each year to take a chance at witnessing natures most extreme storms.
