Titicaca - Closer to the sky

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by alvaro rojas

This image was taken on march, during my last vacations in the magic land of Perú. I have to admit that light during this whole adventure was a blessing for me and my lens. The skies were so clean after the rain season in altiplano, and the sun light was so generous... Located in the high peruvian lands, titicaca is the highest navigable lake on earth, and it´s a sacred place for several southamerican cultures. I certainly felt the magic while travelling for its waters

Location: titicaca, puno, perú
