Milky Way & Northern Lights over Crater Lake

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Win Ong

We went to Crater Lake National Park in Oregon to photograph the Milky Way specifically but the Mother Nature showed us the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis as well (the green hue on the photo). This is a photo of us enjoying the show. My wife said at that time that we needed a shooting star to make it all perfect. A moment she finished her sentence, a shooting star streaked through in front of us. Awe is such a short word to describe the feeling.

Location: Crater Lake National Park, Oregon
