Release the Turtles

Category: Spontaneous Moments

When vacationing with my family in Ixtapa, Mexico, our very first night my little siblings and I went straight to the beach but to our surprise we were told to get out of the water and were joined by a group of about 40 people. The resorts in the area help in the reproduction of sea turtles by collecting their eggs, feeding and protecting them and when they're ready, they release the babies onto the beach for people to watch and to help them safely make it into the ocean. Each wave that took a few of the babies, you would hear a cheer for them from the crowd of people. It was pretty beautiful!

Location: Ixtapa, Meixco
