Lots of fish

Category: Spontaneous Moments

We took a small boat to visit Shampoo Island near Mawlamyaing. The boat was loaded with a big bag of unknown content. When we arrived on the island, two young novices were already waiting to pick up the bag. They ran up to a rack, opened the sack which turned out to be filled with cake and threw it into the water, which instantly turned into a moving mass of fish. After five minutes, the cake was gone and the river turned into a calm and peaceful waterbody, as if nothing had happened.

Location: Shampoo Island, Mawlamyaing, Myanmar
