Le Mont St. Michel at night
Category: Sense of Place
Photo and caption by Joseph Borg
I shot this photo of Mont St. Michel whilst travelling in Normandy in November 2009. I decided to venture out after dinner to take a few photos and I managed to capture this. I was lucky enough that there was a cloud directly above the mount on which the light from the various search lights was bouncing off, resulting in the captured effect. Mont St. Michel is renound for being a mystical place (this also being one of the suspected reasons as to why the monks chose to build an abbey at this place) and the light reflected from the clouds above seems to portray this quality.
Location: Mont St. Michel, Normandy, France
